P!nk will be receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award this year at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Known for her live acrobatics show performances, the pop-rock star has already won six MTV Video Music Awards “Stupid Girls” (Best Pop Video), “Get the Party Started” (Best Female Video) and “Lady Marmalade” (Video of the Year) and has been nominated for 18.
P!nk was selected “for her trailblazing impact on music, pop culture, fashion and philanthropy”, said MTV officials.
She is also set to perform her latest single “What About Us”. Other performers scheduled to take the stage includes Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran, Miley Cyrus, The Weeknd, Fifth Harmony and more.
The MTV Video Music Awards will be on Sunday, August 27th at The Forum in Los Angeles hosted by Katy Perry.
