Oscar winner, Octavia Spencer will be the leading lady playing entrepreneur and social activist, Madam C.J. Walker.
Lebron James is making moves with his production company, Springhill Entertainment. Adding producer of a scripted drama series to his ever-growing resume.
James will be producing alongside Maverick Carter, his company’s co-founder.
The limited series is likely to premiere on Netflix, per Variety.
The series is based on the book “On Her Own Ground” by A’Lelia Bundles, Walker’s great-great-granddaughter, who will also serve as a consultant on the series.
