With his career having started in New York/ Atlanta, Davido understands the power of your own people supporting your ventures. For the longest time, Africans have looked to other countries for music inspiration. The narrative was that they had to sound like certain American mainstream artists. However, a few years back, Nigerian artists developed a sound that set them apart from the rest known as Afrobeats, and the rest was history. “

Indeed, Afrobeats has now been popularized globally, resulting in artists like Wizkid, Temz, and Davido himself selling out international shows all across America, London, and Paris.
