Is Murder Inc Records making a comeback?

Irv “Gotti” Lorenzo announced the re-launch of Murder Inc. After a long music hiatus due to the infamous feud between 50 Cent/G-Unit and IRS issues, Murder Inc. slowly became overshadowed by others in the music industry. The once powerhouse label that consisted of Ja Rule, Ashanti, Lloyd and more was no longer a major force in hip-hop.

But things are about to change. Gotti took to his Instagram account to announce the return of the label. “Oh and by the way!! I’m about to RE LAUNCH MURDER INC RECORDS!! I got some new artist. New music. Same f**king MOVEMENT!”

Also, let’s not forget that at one point Jay Z, Ja Rule and DMX were a part of the early Murder Inc. Although Jay Z and DMX joined forces with other labels, Gotti continued with his other artists and took over the music industry before the downfall of the label.

In addition, Gotti is currently working with BET Networks on his new series Tales. It is based on a scripted anthology that will tell stories through the lyrics of classic hip-hop songs.

Will Gotti take over again?
