Meet Miss South Africa 2022 Top 10 finalists & Bonang Matheba’s House Of BNG

The Miss South Africa Organization has announced the Top 10 contestants who will compete for the crown this year at the Miss SA 2022 pageant. The announcement was made at a glamorous event at The Maslow Hotel in Sandton – Johannesburg on Monday the 13th. The selected 10 will go through the finals during South Africa’s women’s month – August, and the pageant will take place in Times Square, Pretoria. This was the first in-person reveal since 2019, pre-Covid-19.

Returning sponsor, Bonang Matheba was in high spirits at the event. The leading entrepreneur, public figure, and media personality for MCC Wine – House Of BNG returns as one of the official sponsors for Miss SA 2022. Her House Of BNG wine is the official celebratory beverage again for the 64th anniversary of Miss SA. The partnership has been ongoing since 2019 and it is by far one of the most fitting partnerships. Queen B is undeniably the best in the business, as she started as a host for the Miss SA pageant and is now a lucrative sponsor.

Anarzade Omar (From Gauteng)

Anarzade Omar is from Johannesburg, Gauteng. The 23-year-old has a BA in Strategic Communication in Marketing from the University of Johannesburg and works as a social media manager at a digital marketing agency. She also runs a small online sushi business which she launched during the lockdown period of Covid-19.

Ayanda Thabethe (From KwaZulu Natal)

Ayanda Thabethe is a 22 year-old model. She’s currently pursuing a degree in dietetics and human nutrition. She aspires to play a role in developing nutrition-related guidelines to combat South Africa’s double burden of malnutrition and obesity. One of her fun facts is that she sometimes pretends that she has her own cooking show when she’s alone in the kitchen.

Itumeleng Parage (From Gauteng)

Itumeleng is 22 years-old. She’s a Bachelor of Laws student with a Bachelor of Arts (Law Major) degree from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. She says that her role model is Michelle Obama because she’s inspired by the strides she continually takes to make the world a better place for women.

Kealeboga Nkashe (From North West)

Keaoleboga is pursuing her post-graduation studies. She’s also a freelance model and kindergarten teacher. The 26-year-old says she’s extremely passionate about the creative arts and more specifically dramatic arts. She aspires to use her love for education and the arts to better the lives of South African women and children.

Lebogang Mahlangu (From Gauteng)

Lebogang is 26 years-old and has a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Food Science from Stellenbosch University. Her hobbies are the gym, spa or on the sports field. If she was asked to describe herself in three words, it’d be: Resourceful, Purposeful, and Ready.

Luvé Meyer (From Western Cape)

Luve Meyer is a full-time model and small business co-owner. She has obtained a Bachelor of Health Science and Social Services degree and an honors degree in psychology from the University of South Africa. Her goal is to complete her master’s degree in clinical psychology. She says she’s a fierce competitor in 30 seconds.

Luyanda Zuma (From KwaZulu Natal)

Luyanda Zuma is an international model, entrepreneur, and a final year Bachelor of Live Performance student at AFDA in Johannesburg. One of her greatest desires and long-term goals is to remove as many homeless women as possible from the streets and provide better living conditions for them. The 20-year-old is a colorism and gender-based violence activist.

Ndavi Nokeri – (From Limpopo)

Ndavi Noreki is a 23-year-old and has a Bachelor of Communications degree in Investment Management. She says that she’s a compassionate, courageous, and relentlessly resilient woman that aspires to be in rooms where decisions are made about education and skills development in South African schools. She hopes to share meaningful insights that will advance the country. Ndavi enjoys reading self-mastery books, especially those by Robin Sharma. Ndavi is the Winner of the public vote.

Pearl Ntshehi – (From Gauteng)

Pearl is a candidate attorney and holder of a BCom Law, BCom Honours, and LLB degree. She has the heart to serve and aspires to make an impact on the country’s judiciary. Her goal is to inspire young girls and boys to thrive in uncharted territories. She has a passion for youth development and women in law. She says she’s shorter than she looks in pictures.

Tamsyn Jack – (From Western Cape)

Tamsyn is an entrepreneur working with some of South Africa’s leading start-ups and small businesses. She graduated with a Food Science Degree from the University of Stellenbosch. The 25-year-old says she’s compassionate, brave, and inquisitive. She loves listening to podcasts while getting ready for the day. Her dream is to meet women’s rights activist and actress, Emma Watson.

The Judges

In attendance was Bonang Matheba and reigning Miss SA Lalela Mswane.

The judges who picked the Miss SA 2022 top 10 were radio host and actress, Thando Thabethe, Miss SA 2015 Lisel Laurie, fashion designer Khosi Nkosi, True Love Magazine editor-in-chief Makhosazana Zwane-Siguqa, actor Simoné Nortmann, body-positive activist, Tracey-Lee Lusty Horwitz and Dentsu CEO Koo Govender.

Swimwear and lingerie brand Thabooty’s by Thando Thabethe is the official swimwear brand for the pageant this year.
