The drama will chronicle the rise of a biracial 16-year-old in 1986 New York City aspiring to be a singer-songwriter. The teenager dreams to be the best-selling female musician ever.
Carey recently produced a docu-series for E!, called Mariah’s World.
Carey has already an impressive resume just through her music. She has won five Grammy Awards. Mimi has had 18 singles hit No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100’s list, her record beaten only by The Beatles.
