The icy rapper has made her hustle known this year alone.
The Icy girl, Diamonte Harper, better known as Saweetie, has always made sure of two things: to keep her baby hairs laid and her pockets full. The rapper has shared many brand partnerships this year alone and continues to build the empire she envisions. From graduating at the University of Southern California, Saweetie has made many accomplishments throughout her career. Now, she is a 2x Grammy nominated artist with “Best Friend” featuring Doja Cat and won the award for the Hustler of the Year, courtesy of BET.
Although she has made her way with her music, the content queen also makes business moves. The rapper has shared with fans some of her unique food “concoctions”, like her oysters and ramen noodle seasoning meals. In sharing these out-of-the-box creations, Saweetie secured her very own “Saweetie Meal” with McDonald’s back in August of this year. The meal even included her own signature “Saweetie ‘n Sour Sauce” and merch you can find on Icygirl.com.
Saweetie has made her way into the fashion and beauty industries.
Not only has she referred herself to as, “Big Mac Mama” but, also as “Ms. MAC”. The rapper recently landed her second fashion partnership with MAC Cosmetics as their new global ambassador in September. Saweetie always makes sure that her lipgloss is poppin’ and these partnerships let her fans into her beauty tips. It also opens up collaboration with other beauty stars. This is something to look forward to especially with the holidays around the corner! Before the MAC Cosmetics partnership, she also tapped into the nail industry, creating a nail polish line with Sinful Colors by Revlon. While giving a variety of dazzling colors and press-on’s Saweetie was able to cultivate and express herself through nail art in this partnership.
Back in mid October, Saweetie and Crocs shared a post featuring Hidden Valley Ranch x Crocs collaboration. Saweetie shared her black crocs with icy girl charms to promote this collaboration on her Instagram. Saweetie and Crocs shared that they will be partnering with each other very soon. Crocs have been a huge trend recently and having Saweetie partner with them makes this even more exciting.
Saweetie also hosted the MTV European Music Awards Nov 14.
Saweetie was given the opportunity to be the host for the MTV EMAs and gave 11 astonishing outfit changes. Getting into the music, Saweetie appeared on Saturday Night Live, and performed the singles “Tap in”, “Best Friend”, and new song “Icy Chain”. Could this mean new music is on the way? Gearing up for her icy season, Saweetie has yet to drop her first debut album but she’s giving us some anticipation by changing her Twitter bio to “#PrettyBitchMusic….loading”.
