Lori Harvey On Dating On Her Own Terms & Understanding How Men Operate

Lori Harvey has the internet shaking after she got together with Teyana Taylor on Taylor’s new Bumble show “Luv 2 See It”. The long-time friends met in the Rose Mobile’s daybed and had an intimate conversation about Lori Harvey’s growth and dating life. Lori Harvey is known for being unapologetically herself and doing what pleases her, including leaving a relationship that the public perceives as “perfect” or “goals”.

Her dating life has been on display for years. The model has dated heavyweights of the entertainment and music industry such as Sean “Diddy” Combs, Future, and recently the movie industry bae, Michael B Jordan. Despite the men she dates, Lori continues to face major criticism as she moves from one relationship to the next.

“If it’s no longer serving me, I’mma move on.”

Lori’s Dating Strategy 101

On “Luv 2 See It,” Lori suggests how growing up with brothers has given her insight into how men operate. “I’m just gonna move accordingly” she said. She highlighted the importance of finding yourself, knowing what you like, and want before committing to someone else. Lori also mentions that she almost got married very young so that made her feel like she hadn’t experienced life. From then on, she decided that she would date on her own terms.

“I almost got married very young, and so, I think, after that I felt like I hadn’t really experienced anything, I didn’t really know myself, I didn’t really know what I liked, what I didn’t like. I just felt like I didn’t really experience life, so I think, at that point, I was like, ‘kay, I’m ’bout to,’ just like I said, ‘date on my terms.’ However I wanna move, whatever I wanna do, I’mma do it.”

In the same conversation, Lori said that her green flag is transparency and honesty. For Lori, transparency is important as it helps her decide if she wants to date a person or not. The socialite mentioned that a man who is close with his exes is definitely a red flag for her.

Lori is living her truth as a young, beautiful, successful, and empowered woman, so what is the scrutiny about? Is this not what dating as a young woman is? We’d love to hear what you think. Share your thoughts with us on our social media pages.
