Lala Anthony Partners With BET For New Plastic Surgery Documentary

Power star Lala Anthony, dives into the dark side of plastic surgery in new documentary Killer Curves: Bodies To Die For. The documentary takes a hard look on the popular and sometimes risky trend of women altering their bodies. It also focuses on the dangers of the black market.

The documentary will be narrated and produced by Anthony.

The official description reads “For decades, the ideal female body type was said to be tall and thin. In recent years however, the rise of video vixens and reality TV stars have redefined and influenced that image in a profound way. Today thousands of women are resorting to risky body modifications to emulate the exaggerated curves the hottest pop culture figures.”

The documentary features K. Michelle, who has been verbal about her struggles with her body. The singer has recently undergone procedures to undo her plastic surgery.

In an interview with People, 34 year- old artist explains why she went under the knife.

“I wanted to look like a Coke bottle,” she referred to her breast augmentation as well as the procedure to transfer fat from her belly to her butt. She found a man that could inject silicone into her backside and hips.

Plastic surgery is growing more and more popular, as women are looking to Instagram models and celebrities for their perfect bodies. Women are increasingly choosing backroom procedures from unlicensed doctors. Procedures have proven to cause serious health risks and can even be fatal.

The documentary is the latest in BET’s “Truth Series” which launched in 2015.

Killer Curves: A Body To Die For premieres on August 8th at 9 PM on BET. The documentary is produced by ITV Creative and Lalaland. Other producers include David George, Will Nothacker, Jordana Hochman and Antoinetta Hairston.
