Of course, listeners have been sufficed by the collaborative album, Twenty88, with her partner, Big Sean. However, Trip 17 will be Jhene Aiko’s second studio album in three years. Her soft, luring voice will soon be heard again either by the end of 2017 or early 2018.
Jhene Aiko initially sought to build buzz for future with her single “Maniac” back in 2016. It’s uncertain that the singles that were released (“While We’re Young” and “Hello Ego“) will be featured on the album. With a sequel to Twenty88 also rumored to be on the way, it seems like the LA singer has a lot on her plate. Despite that, fans have plenty of smooth, sexy songs to look forward to.
Jhene Aiko first spoke on her plans of releasing a new album back in May to Galore Magazine. When prompted about how soon fans will be able to hear her new project, she responded by saying “as soon as possible.” Hopefully, this will come true for the fans who’ve been waiting since 2014 for a solo project.
