According to reports, Janelle Monae is a very desirable candidate for a leading role in Sony Pictures’ reboot of Charlie’s Angels! This will be the second remake for the iconic TV show that originally aired 5 seasons between 1976- 1981.
So far we know that actress-turned-director, Elizabeth Banks, will direct the new movie. The creators of Narcos, Carlo Bernard and Doug Mirowill, will be writing the script. Also, the release date has been set for June 7, 2019.
However the real question is.. Whom will play the roles of the Charlie’s Angels!?!?
According to the Tracking Board, Janelle Monae is at the top of Sony’s wish-list. However, nothing is official, casting will not start until the script is complete.
