For those of you who are unaware, a probate is a ceremony and a revealing for those who are pledging to become apart of a sorority or fraternity. Usually people who live in urban cities don’t have the chance to experience it because the lack of need for greek life but being that I live on Howard University’s campus, the home to all dive nine organizations, I received the full experience of a probate and Greek life importance
The Divine Nine Greek Organizations are: Alpha Kappa Alpha, Phi Beta Sigma, Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi, Delta Sigma Theta, Zeta Phi Beta, Alpha Phi Alpha, Iota Phi Theta, and Sigma Gamma Rho.
Essentially every year there will be a pledging process and people would go through a process that leads up until the probate. The people who are officially online for the geek organization will not be revealed until the day of probate.
