A bad bitch renaissance is coming!
HBO Max dropped the trailer for Issa Rae’s upcoming series “Rap Sh!t” on Monday, and judging from the “Insecure” creator’s history, it is sure to be one of the top shows of the summer. The series follows two estranged high school friends from Miami Shawna (Aida Osman) and Mia (KaMillion) who come together to form a rap group.
Issa Rae serves as Executive Producer of the show and also penned the premiere episode and cowrote the finale alongside showrunner, Syreeta Singleton. One of Hip-Hop’s hottest duos JT and Yung Miami of the City Girls are co Executive Producers.
“Rap Sh!t” is set to premiere July 21 on HBO Max with two episodes. The eight-episode season will then continue with one episode a week until September 1st. Check out the trailer below.
In the teaser which you can watch above, shows the girls doing everything in their power to reach fame, taking advantage of social media, club promotions, and more to achieve their dreams. The show also stars Jonica Booth, Devon Terrell, and RJ Cyler.
