Gucci’s New Streetwear Campaign is to Die For!

Gucci has proven that it can still push the boundaries in the fashion world. Their latest streetwear campaign, “The Alchemist Garden,” for the Fall/Winter 2017 season (both women‘s and men‘s) exuberates this. It’s also perfect in that the location it’s shot in allows the characteristics of every piece to shine through. Gucci has tapped into the streetwear market and they are running with it.

With the emergence of so many creative brands nowadays, it is absolutely essential an older label like Gucci can stay ahead of the game. Since Creative Director Alessandro Michele took the helm, Gucci has seen their loyal clientele view the brand in a new and exciting light while the younger generation has taken on a new style; street. This allows y’all to go outside the norm of wearing ‘what’s hot and what’s not’. Not only is Gucci a great brand for those wanting to express their creative side but this collection is emulative of those who just want to be stylish in daily life. Perhaps not the crystal mask you’ll see below, but certainly everything else. Hey, if you want to wear $980 worth of crystals to meet your friends at Shake Shack tomorrow, MEFeater says hell yeah! The features of the streetwear you’ll see below are a softer side to Gucci but most beautiful nonetheless. There’s an extra cultural touch in the Fall Winter streetwear campaign too. You’ll see this through the embroidery on the footwear, the signature (t-)shirts and the sporty bomber jackets. It’s enthralling and it’s clever.

Women’s Streetwear

The features of the women’s streetwear you’ll see below are, I’m afraid to say, trendsetting. A really clever vogue you’ll find yourself tapping into is this leather belt with ‘belt accessory‘ i.e. an upmarket fanny pack. The brassware on both & these pumps is an adoration though. What streetwear fanatic doesn’t dream of a Gucci belt nowadays?

It’s a big trip in my personal garden which is mine but also Gucci’s, and it expresses all the ideas of me, all of my obsessions. – Alessandro Michele

Men’s Streetwear

The men’s collection is definitely much like the women’s in that yes, it’s for the expressive of millennials but if you prefer a laid back leisurely look with some signature Gucci then you’ll be all over this. It’s the essence of cool. There appears to be more inclusiveness of the brand’s traditional design features as you somewhat see from these socks and sneakers. Wool, a welcoming fabric in the shorts from first shots below and the floral lined, outer-stitched jacket over the Gucci t-shirt. This particular jacket was also seen amongst the women’s collection.
