Fox has released the official trailer for their new X-Men TV series, The Gifted.
The Marvel production will be overseen by show runner Matt Nix with the first episode being directed by Bryan Singer and premiering later this year.
The series will focus on a family on the run with their mutant children Lauren (Natalie Alyn) and her brother, Andy (Percy Hynes), as the government cracks down on people with powers. But the show is also going to feature a group of beloved mutants in supporting roles who help the family in their attempts to keep their children safe.
A few characters with mutant abilities were shown in the brief clip, including the mutant Blink played by Jamie Chung who is seen opening a portal.
The new series premieres on Fox on October 2. Take a look at the trailer below:
