Boogie (feat JID)- “Soho”
Compton-native Boogie taps Dreamville’s JID for a highly anticipated collab! “Soho” is a standout track off of Boogie’s debut album Everythings for Sale. The marriage between Boogie’s flow and the beat is incredible and when you think this track can’t get any better JID comes in with a mean verse. Boogie has cemented his name in the rap game. If Boogie ain’t in your top 5 it may be time to revise.

J.Cole -“MIDDLE CHILD”
Jermaine is starting off the year with his highly anticipated single ‘MIDDLE CHILD”. He teams up with T-Minus to continually demonstrate his importance to the rap game. The song is a reflection of J Cole feeling caught in between two generations ” “I’m dead in the middle of two generations I’m little bro and big bro all at once,” Cole raps on the track. He drops a few golden eggs about Drake, Jay- Z, and 21 Savage. This track comes after the announcement of Revenge of the Dreamer III.

TOBi – “City Blues
Emerging Nigerian-Canadian artist, TOBi, talents soar on his latest single “City Blues”. His vocals captivate the soul while his lyrics hold on to your ears. “City Blues” is reminiscent to the core of 70’s socio-political music from artist like Marvin Gaye, expect with a modern twist. Being able to create such music successfully is a hard task that unquestionably excels on. With such raw talent, I’m excited to see hear what’s next from the singer.

Thutmose- “Wait Up”
Thutmose is back with his latest track “Wait Up” after being featured on Spider-Man: Enter The Spider-Verse soundtrack. Thutmose has created a lot of buzz in 2018 putting him on track to becoming the forefront of emerging hip hop out of New York. “Wait Up” is a standout trap vibe that shows off Thutmose’s bars and ability to harmonize. With this being his first single of 2019 I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the rest of the year.

Mr Eazi (feat Burna Boy)- “Miss You Bad”
Nigerian star, Eazi taps Burna Boy for another Afrobeat hit. This track is a standout from Eazie’s Vol.2 – Lagos To London, a mixtape released last year, yet shouldn’t be overlooked. The balance between R&B and African sound makes this cut hypnotic and smooth. Although the Afrobeat genre has yet to penetrate the mainstream American radio I do believe when it does Eazi will be sitting front and center.

Dreezy- “RIP Aretha”
It’s time to give Dreezy her overdue credit! Chicago-native Dreezy has been killing the game for a while now and she’s back with another bop “RIP Aretha”. This record comes off Dreezy’s forthcoming project, Big Dreez, a highly decorated, 10 track project, released on January 25. “RIP Aretha” serves as a homage to the late Aretha Franklin with a heavy hitting beat, a choppy flow, and countless of bars. As many hot artists are coming out of Chicago, Dreezy manages to hold her own and constantly remind people that her time is now.
