Fresh Music Friday: Lucky Daye, KenTheMan, Koffee, and Others Brought The Vibes With Their New Singles!

It can be difficult to discover new music, especially with so many options. As the weekend nears, what better time to discover some new music? From hip hop to RnB, Neo-soul, dancehall, and alternative rock, we’ve got you covered. Here are some of the latest releases that will keep you jamming all week.

Lucky Daye – God Body (feat. Smino)

With God Body, Lucky Daye does it again. Lucky Daye recently released his new album ‘Candydrip,’ but this single in particular is everything and has an old-school hip-hop flavor to it, with a feature from Smino. As the record transforms into a Disco vibe, it has a bouncy sound with beautiful vocals from Lucky Daye and rhythmic lyrics by Smino.

Jade Novah – I Just Wanna Know (Remix)

On this remix, Tarriona ‘Tank’ Ball joins Jade Novah to charm listeners with a lovely yet upbeat ballad that has them wondering “if this is love?” This song has a sweet 70s vibe to it that makes you want to cuddle up with your significant other. The vocal ranges of both women are incredible, and they work beautifully together.

CHERDERICKA – GIMME MORE

CHERDERICKA, an Avant-Garde/Alt-Rock artist, has just released her new tune Gimme More, and we can only say ‘yass!’ This song begins with some echoes, multiple drum beats, and a metal guitar. The song’s speed remains consistent throughout, although it keeps faithful to the Alt-rock genre. The video even has an Avant-Garde feel to it, which complements the song nicely.

KenTheMan – Join Em

KenTheMan, a Houston rapper, just released a handful of tunes, but this one sticks out. KenTheMan rides the beat with her amazing bars and catchy beat from beginning to end. KenTheMan never disappoints and is truly another southern female rapper to watch out for! “Join Em” is a summer anthem to listen to, especially if you wish to play the same games males do and as KenTheMan put it, “I-I say join em if you can’t beat em.”

Tiana – 2 Seater (feat. Smino)

“2 Seater” has a vintage 80’s sound wrapped with warm tones. This is a track you are going to want to replay, thanks to Smino’s quirky lyrics and Tiana’s deep vocals. She shows off her rapping talents near the end, a little reminiscent of Lauryn Hill when she was younger. Tiana Major9, the East London singer, has continued to show off her versatility following the success of her single Collide, which featured Earthgang.

Baby Tate – What’s Love

Baby Tate’s vocals are on display in this song, which asks, “What is Love?” This slow-tempo track has an RnB feel to it, with a light tone in the middle. This is the one to play if you’re looking for a tune to ride to and possibly get you in your feelings.

LAYA – Brag (feat. Fivio Foreign)

LAYA is bringing back the throwback RnB sound of the 2000s. The smooth drill bop of “Brag” makes you want to dance a two-step while singing “I” don’t wanna brag when I get the big bag.” If you’re looking for a consistent classic RnB vibe, LAYA is sure to deliver, and while you’re at it, give Sailor Moon a try; you won’t be disappointed.

Amaria – Lose Control

If you’re looking for a dreamy soul sound, you’ve found the right song. You’re in for a treat with “Lose Control”, which begins with quiet whispers, drums, and a bass guitar. This is the perfect song to lose yourself in and relax to.

Koffee – Pull Up

Koffee is back with her newest single Pull Up, a dancehall banger that should have you ready for her upcoming album. This song requires nothing but sweet vibes and a nice summer night with such a great track.

Take a listen to these tracks or take note if you are unfamiliar with these artists because you will not be disappointed.
