French Montana’s Hospital in Uganda Officially Opens

French Montana’s Trip To Uganda Was An Unforgettable One.

After traveling to Africa to shoot his massive hit single, Unforgettable, French Montana partnered with the Mama Hope Foundation and Global Citizen to improve Suubi “Hope” Maternity Center.

Celebrities and the rich elite alike, love to go to Africa and use the scenery as a backdrop for music videos and photo shoots. They crop their perfect image of Africa into a square size Instagram bow accompanied by a long caption about the beauty that is in Africa. But, if you widen the lens juuust a little, you’ll see the poverty and help that is needed. Africa isn’t just vast beautiful lands and exotic animals.

Africa has people too. Africans are people too. And they can’t be cropped out.

While French was there, he saw that this was a community in need and his philanthropic journey began. It took no time for him to write a $100,000 donation check to the division that provides resources for pregnant women. The Weeknd matched French’s 10,000 and Diddy wrote a check for 200,000. From there, one simple act of kindness expanded to a full project and the opening of a new hospital for residents.

The Suubi “Hope” Health Center, is now officially open and thanks to the generous help by numerous people, thousands of people in Uganda will have access to a pristine medical facility for all of their needs.
