#BreakingNews: Cleveland Facebook Murder Suspect Steve Stephens Killed Himself after Police Pursuit

At a news conference this morning, Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams said approximately after 11 a.m. today, Pennsylvania State Police received a tip that the white Ford Fusion that police were looking for in connection to Steve Stephens was in Erie, Pennsylvania in a McDonald’s parking lot.

Officers responded and the driver of the vehicle fled, leading police on a short pursuit. As the officers approached the vehicle, Steve Stephens took his own life and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 37-year-old Cleveland, Ohio man was wanted on charges of aggravated murder for the fatal shooting of 74-year-old Robert Godwin Sr. in Cleveland Sunday afternoon. Stephens posted video of Godwin’s murder to Facebook hours after breaking up with his girlfriend, according to police.
