The 2018 Essence Festival has just announced its first round of performers who will be hitting the stage during the weekend.
Taking place July 5-8 in New Orleans, Essence FEST will be headlined by icons Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Snoop Dogg and The Roots. R&B superstars such as Fantasia, Miguel, Kelly Price, Marsha Ambrosius, H.E.R., Daniel Ceasar, Kelela and DVSN are also scheduled to perform at the festival.
For the first time ever, the evening lineup will also include a unique DJ-curated experience in one of our Superlounges, where actor and musician Idris Elba and MC Lyte will get the crowd energized from the turntables.
