Pap Chanel, aka Pretty and Paid, has just released the video for “Bipolar,” the second official single off her recently released #1 project, “Pretty & Paid 2.0,” on 4th and Broadway Records. On this track, the Georgia-based rapper took things a little slower, but she still served us with those solid bars.
The video opens with Pap looking stunning as she is chauffeured through what appears to be Atlanta in the iconic Cinderella carriage. Throughout the video, the camera pans in and out on the subtle color and glam shifts. This helps to set the tone for the song, which is a little softer and sentimental this time around. With “Bipolar,” Pap plays with her sound, incorporating autotune and a smooth R&B flow that highlights Pap’s diverse range. Fans of Pap will be able to see a different side of her in this song, as she unleashes Papillion, one of her six PAPonalities.
If you’ve been following Pap’s work, you’re well aware of her dedication over the years. Pap, who grew up in a small town, proudly declares herself a country girl who is aiming to help other creatives from small Southern towns break through. She has a lot to offer, from her cyphers to her Instagram videos and freestyles. She craves her own lane and is making noise as an energetic Georgia native. Not only does this song show that she’s here to stay, but her new album does as well. It highlights why we should pay more attention to this female rapper on the rise.
