What Donald Trump’s Budget Plan Will Do to the Arts

Ttump Budget Plan for the Arts

For all those people who look to art and entertainment as an escape from the Trump administration, you’re in trouble. Trump’s federal budget plan could eliminate the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities. These programs provide grants for artists.

Mike Pence and Ivanka Trump both have attended Broadway Shows recently, but it wasn’t enough to keep funding the Arts.

The proposed plan would also cut funding to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which funds NPR, CBS, and local radio and TV stations. Government-funded news stations provide America educational programming. These federally funded programs cost taxpayers roughly $1.25 dollars a year.

The budget plan is for the next fiscal year and is subject to negotiation and changes.
