The nominations are in! On Thursday, May 8, BET announced this year’s nominees for their upcoming awards show, airing live on June 9 from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. This year’s BET Awards will celebrate their 25th anniversary, so the show is sure to include some exciting surprises to commemorate this major milestone. But first things first—the nominees! Music has kept us on our toes this past year with incredible drops and unforgettable bops, and we can’t wait to see who takes home the award in each category.
This year, Kendrick Lamar dominates the list with 10 nominations, followed by Doechii, GloRilla, Drake, and Future, who each earned six. Behind them is Metro Boomin with five, while SZA and The Weeknd each received four. Chris Brown, Tyler, the Creator, Ayra Starr, and Playboi Carti all earned three nominations.
