Meet Cori “Coco” Gauff Tennis’ Next Big Thing

Cori “Coco” Gauff, Tennis Star,  is Destined for Greatness!

Cori “Coco” Gauff, 14, became the youngest girl to win the junior title at the French Open since 1994. Coco beat Caty McNally 1-6, 6-3, 7-6 (1) in an all-American final to win the girls’ junior title at the French Open. This win places Cori as the fifth youngest player ever to win the title in French Open history.

For Coco athleticism runs in her family.  Both her mom and dad were heavily involved in sports. Her father, Corey Gauff, was a basketball player at Georgia State University, and her mother, Candi Gauff, is a former track star and gymnast.

Coco’s Training with the Best

Coco’s been training with Serena Williams’ coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, for the past three years. Coco plans on being the next greatest star pro tennis has ever seen. Coco started playing at the age of 6. Once she realized tennis was her passion, Coco moved from Atlanta to Florida to pursue more opportunities in the sport. Just last year, Coco became the youngest player ever to make it to the US Open Girls Final.

Shes already breaking milestones at such a young age. We can’t wait to see where Cori ‘Coco’ Gauff’s drive will take her next!
