Cardi B’s “Invasion of Privacy” Breaks Records ?

Cardi B Becomes The Fifth Female Rapper to Top the Billboard 200

Cardi B’s 15 minutes lasted a little longer than most thought, (not us though). She joins the ranks of Nicki Minaj, Eve, Foxy Brown, and Lauryn Hill as the only female rap artists to have an album topping the Billboard 200.

Cardi B’s debut album, Invasion of Privacy peaked at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart, earning 255,000 equivalent album units in the first week. Invasion of Privacy is the second biggest streaming week for an album in 2018, coming in after Migos’ Culture II.

Cardi B’s debut album, Invasion of Privacy, sets record as the biggest streaming week ever by a woman.

In the era of digital streaming, this is a HUGE accomplishment! Cardi B’s Invasion Of Privacy earned 202.6 million streams in the first week! Cardi B beat out previous record holder Beyoncé who generated 115.2 million streams for her album, Lemonade.

In addition, Invasion of Privacy knocked Lil Uzi Vert’s, Luv Is Rage 2, out of the park as the biggest streaming week for a debut album!!! Everyone was waiting to hear what a debut album from Cardi B would sound like. The haters couldn’t wait for the album to drop so they could listen to one song, judge it and call the album complete trash, without even listening to it in full. Well, even those haters helped people Cardi B into our history books. Whether you liked her or not. You streamed that album because you wanted to say something..anything. But hey, we bet Cardi says thank you for listening because even your haters are fans that can get you paid!

Even the haters can help you break records!

Invasion of Privacy is the  Seventh-largest streaming week for an album ever:

Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy marks the seventh-largest streaming week for an album and the fifth biggest debut EVER. Drake’s third mixtape, More Life still holds the record for the largest streaming record overall.

Invasion of Privacy‘s debut of 255,000 units is the second-biggest week overall for an album in 2018, behind Justin Timberlake’s Man of the Woods, which sold 293,000 units. Furthermore, Invasion of Privacy takes the crown for the largest week for an R&B or hip-hop album since Eminem’s Revival started with 267,000 units.

As we know, Cardi does not let anything stop her from securing her future. Not a scandal, beef, or even a baby, can stop her momentum. Continue to make history, Cardi!
