Nordstrom takes a loss, Co-President Blake Nordstrom dies at only 58.
This year has started off somber for Nordstrom family, as they battle with the loss of their Co-President Blake Nordstrom. On Wednesday, January 2, 2019, Nordstrom passed unexpectedly and the cause of death has not been confirmed.
The company disclosed that Nordstrom had been diagnosed with Lymphoma back in December, yet we still aren’t sure if his sickness was at fault for his death. Nordstrom is a longstanding family-owned American chain of luxury department stores well-known across the US.
As the death of Blake Nordstrom revealed to the public, Nordstrom Chairman Brad Smith spoke out to give his condolences. “My heart goes out to the Nordstrom family and everyone at the company during this difficult time,” said Nordstrom Chairman Brad Smith.
Nordstrom also went on the share deep condolences via Twitter.
