Big Sean, Drake and Kanye West “Blessed” us with a New Single Produced by Vinylz

Big Sean promised new  music, but did he deliver? Of  course, the Vinylz produced  single has a great beat and  melody, but we expect  nothing less from the  producer, who produced Jay  Z’s mega banger, Fuck With  Me You Know I Got It  featuring Rick Ross.  The  dark and twisted rift  ironically repeats while the    two rappers explain why  they are so obviously blessed. Sean opens the song  “I live a life I deserve/Fuck a vaca/ I feel better at work,” subliminally saying who needs a vacation, when your living your dream. Drake follows the Detroit native’s verse with one of his award-winning hooks, then a verse throwing shade at the Grammy’s. In his verse he states, “I could give two fucks ’bout where the Grammy’s go/ I just gave out Grammy’s on my Instagram,” reminding us how pointless and biased the Grammy’s can be at times.

Blessings was initially released as a 4 minute YouTube video late last night, but a few hours later Big Sean released an extended version on his sound-cloud featuring his GOOD Music founder, Kanye West.  Maybe having the Chi Town native end the song was the biggest “blessing” of all. With a very boastful verse, detailing his current lifestyle, it feels as if Mr. West  couldn’t have been given a better topic to go off about. Rapping lyrics, “Just did a couple laps in my home pool/ and my daughter right there getting home schooled/ I’m blessed.”

“Blessings” is the first official single from Big Sean’s third album, Dark Sky Paradise and the song’s ominous vibe correlates with the title of the album. It is not the IDFWU anthem, that we all sung about our exes, but it is a cool ass song that I know people will appreciate.
