The Power of The Carters: Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s “APESH*T” Video has Increased Visitation to The Louvre in Paris to an All-Time​ High

The Louvre is one of the world’s most popular and visited attractions. Now, thanks to Beyonce and Jay Z filming their iconic “Apeshit” video in the museum, the Louvre’s visitor number has risen by 25 percent. Reaching a jaesropping 10.2 million.

The video was filmed at the famous attraction last June (2018) and features the duo posing by the museum’s art and sculptures. The “Apeshit” video garnered over 147 million views on YouTube and featured famous pieces such as the Mona Lisa. The museum noticed a significant rise in foreign visitors from China, Europe, and Brazil. Soon after “Apeshit” dropped, the Louvre started offering 90-minute tours inspired by the video.
