R&B singer Tinashe has certainly proved in the past she is an artist worth watching. With the release of her debut album Aquarius released in 2014, she has given us sultry and sexy, but still classy songs. Her songs give an upbeat sound to jam out with our girlfriends too, while some others are the type to do a little sexy dance to.
This week, Tinashe released her new mixtape Nightride. Before this mixtape was released, she previously released two singles. The first single—”Superlove”—was to give fans a little preview of what her upcoming music would sound like. The song is a groovy and exciting to dance to, perfect at a party or even alone in your room.
The second single released, which is also included on the mixtape, is titled “Company”. Company is a sexier song that just makes you want to lounge back and drink a glass of wine. However, the song fits in perfectly with the remainder of the mixtape.
If you’re looking for the next great mixtape that has the equal amount of sexy, upbeat, and just all-around good music, Nightride is certainly the mixtape for you. It gives off the vibe of a girl who’s gotten a taste of love and she wants to write a story about it. The 23 year old story is written through the lyrics in each song.
You’re able to hear the amazing vocals of Tinashe on all tracks. I can’t even choose a favorite song because they’re just all that great. However, if I absolutely had to choose, I would say Ride of Your Life would be my favorite. But overall, each song is amazing on its own.
So if you were questioning yourself on whether or not you should listen to Tinashe’s new mixtape, I’m here to tell you that you should. It’s certainly one of the best R&B mixtapes released this year.
