Last November, America had a big change. Indeed, a new President was elected and history was made because of his Vice-President, the first woman on this role ever: Kamala Harris! The fact that we love the most is that Kamala is a woman of color as well! There are other women of color inside the institution. Karine Pierre-Jean has a rich political background. She started her career as a Political Organizer Campaign for John Edwards’s 2004 presidential campaign. Then she directed Obama’s. Jean-Pierre had many roles at the White House such as Regional political director of Political Affairs, National Deputy Battleground States Director, and more.
During Biden’s presidential campaign last year, Karine served as a senior advisor. She is now the White House Deputy Press Secretary! Congrats!
Symone D. Sanders: Chief Spokesperson and a Senior Advisor
Symone Sanders is a political strategist, former CNN commentator, and a former press secretary for Bernie Sanders’s 2016 campaign.
She first joined Biden’s campaign as a senior advisor and Sanders is now Chief spokesperson and a senior advisor for Vice President Kamala Harris. Congrats!
Joëlle Gambell: Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy.
Gambell is an economist and organizer. She worked from 2010 to 2012 as a program assistant in the State’s Office of Foreign Missions in Los Angeles.
In addition, she worked at the Roosevelt Institute in New-York.

Ashley Etienne : Communications Director to Vice President
Ashley Etienne has a great journey in the Communication area. She has been a communication director many times in her career. At Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, Etienne served as spokesperson.

Cecilia Rouse: Council of Economic Advisers
Rousse is an economist who has served as a member of President Barack Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers. She has been an editor for journals as well. Cecilia Rouse is the current 30th Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers. Plus, she is the first Black at this place! Big congrats to her!!
Marcia Fudge : Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
Marcia Fudge is a lawyer and a politician. She was the Mayor of Warrensville Heights, in Ohio from 2000 to 2008. She is now the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development of the United States. Congratulations!! ??
Brenda Mallory: Chair of the Council on Environmental Quality
Brenda Mallory is a lawyer specializing in environmental law. She served as general counsel for the White House Council on Environmental Quality during Obama’s term. She is now serving as Chair of the Council on Environmental Quality in his administration. Congratulations!
Ashley Williams: Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Oval Office Operations
Ashley Williams is a former advisor for global women’s issues at the State Department. She also was Senior Assistant to Dr. Jill Biden during Obama’s administration. She has now the role of Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Oval Office Operations. Congratulations!!
