6 Songs You Should Listen To This Week

Each week we compose a list of newly released songs that we think you should hear.  Here are some of the best releases you may have missed this week! Don’t forget who put you on!

Megatron // Nicki Minaj

If you’ve been on the internet in the past week, then you know Nicki Minaj has resurfaced on the scene serving us a summer vibe. “Megatron” has an infectious beat, one that is repetitive and without a doubt inescapable. Miss Barbie herself has emphasized her ability to surprise drop. Although many fans were underwhelmed, we have a feeling this is just the beginning to an unpredictable era.

Chase The Money // E-40, A$AP Ferg, Quavo, Roddy Ricch and ScHoolboy Q

If you’ve been looking for a hit filled with hard-hitting punchlines, here it is. E-40 has released Chase The Money as the leading single for his upcoming project, Practice Makes Paper, set to release in late July. Los Angeles rappers continue to rep hard, and Chase The Money is no less than that. You definitely wanna add this track to your everyday playlist.

Can I // Kiana Ledé

Despite this song being released earlier this month, it’s rise on the charts means we are obligated to put you on. Kiana Ledé is an upcoming R&B artist. “Can I”, was released on her latest EP, Myself. The 6-track project discovers an array of emotions and also features Quavo and Jenifer Lewis. “Can I”, is easily one of the most relatable songs on the project, tackling the subject of wanting to see someone who is not necessarily good for you. Take a listen to “Can I” and then the Myself EP, to puzzle the rest together.

How High // Pi’erre Bourne

After a couple months out of the spotlight, producer and rapper, Pi’erre Bourne has released solo project, The Life Of Pi’erre 4. “How High” is one of the most infectious songs, simply for the fact that he can recycle his own beats. It still stands to be the most interesting thing about the producer/rapper.

All My Love // Sabrina Claudio and Wale

On what seems like a road to redemption, Sabrina Claudio chooses the best feature fit on “All My Love”, Wale. With only two verses, Wale takes over the song. As simple as the lyrics come off, they are nonetheless soaked in a sultry tone and bathed in sweet nothings. You might just want to send this song to who you’d give all your romantic love to.

Lil Boy S**t // Skooly

In the newest age of experimental rap, upcoming rapper Skooly tackles an overlooked topic in a subtle way. The Atlanta native is infectious, yet raw and relatable. This track embodies what it is to subtly flex, in a way that represents growth. If you can relate, you should definitely take a listen. Besides, you heard it here first, he is up next.
