5 Face Mask for Better Skin this Winter

Winter can be hard on the skin. The dry air, windy days, and grey skies can reek havoc on the the skin. But a great way to heal and help your skin glow is a face mask. They are super simple and relaxing, and can be made with household ingredients. Here are five face mask recipes for all the skin problems you could run into this winter.

1. Dry skin? Try this!

-Half a cup of oatmeal

-One egg Yolk

-A tablespoon of honey

-A tablespoon of olive oil

Combine these ingredients until it forms a paste like consistency. Then dab your face with warm water to open your pores. Apply the mask and let sit for around 20 mins. Rinse clean with warm water and apply some toner to close your pores and seal in the moisture.

2. Dull skin? Try this!

– 2/3 cup of honey

– Three tablespoons of orange juice

After you combine the ingredients apply them to your face and let it sit for up to 30 mins. After rinse with warm water. (Use fresh orange juice)

3. Want firmer skin? Try this!

– The juice of one lemon

-A teaspoon of olive oil

-Three tablespoons of plain yogurt

Combine the ingredients and let it sit on your face for around 25 mins. Wash away with
warm water and finish with cold water.

 

4. Want a more even complexion? Try this!

-Two generous tablespoons of honey

-Two tablespoons of coffee grounds or instant coffee powder

Rub the mixture on your skin for a few minuets, then let it sit for 15-20. Make sure to moisturize afterward!

5. Acne prone skin? Try this!

-Two tablespoons of honey

-A splash of fresh lemon juice

-A tablespoon of cinnamon

Dampen your face with warm water then apply the mask. Let sit for around 30 mins. then continue with your usual acne/beauty regimen.
